English II (A & B)

This intermediate English course combines the study of world literature along with a continued focus on composition skills. Students will read, reflect, synthesize, and respond to several different types of world literature. A research paper is a requirement.

Prerequisites: None

Course Length: Two Semesters (English II A and English II B)

Required Text: None required; Novels as needed

Cost: $325.00 per student/per semester

  • House on Mango Street – Sandra Cisneros
 

Semester Two

  • Short Story Unit (various literary works)
  • Metamorphosis – Franz Kafka
  • Poetry Unit (various literary works)
  • Enemy of the People – Henrik Ibsen
  • Research Unit
