Course Information
The Texas Virtual School is currently offering the following courses. Only schools or districts, who are partnered with the TVS, can register students for TVS courses. The course listing is sorted by type and subject.

All academic interactive and Advanced Placement (AP) courses provided through the Texas Virtual School have met or exceeded the quality criteria as established by the Investigating Quality of Online Courses (IQ) Guidelines. These evaluations are conducted by three independent evaluators certified in their respective curriculum areas and trained in online course pedagogy and practices.

  • are aligned to TEKS and TAKS requirements
  • are designed to promote active learning
  • provide students with technical support
    and a secure online environment
  • are highly interactive
  • most core courses have supporting instructional materials

Refund Policy: TVS will refund the school or district all but $130 of the registration fee if the student withdraws during the first 14 days of the course. After 14 days, no money will be refunded. Refund requests should be in writing. TVS is not responsible for providing textbooks or supporting materials. TVS is not responsible for textbook returns or refunds.

Note: If there is need for an extension for course completion, the school will be invoiced $150. This will cover teacher's time and effort.
